CloseCall sends text messages only to connect a customer with the local service provider they chose to call. Every text is about a specific service request. We never send marketing texts, and we never share phone numbers or text consent with third parties for marketing.
1. Who receives texts, and how they agree
Customers agree each time they request a call. Directly above every Call Now button on joinclosecall.com, the site shows:
Calls may be recorded. By tapping Call Now, you agree to our Customer Terms and Privacy Policy and to receive a call and texts from CloseCall about this request. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
Service providers agree when they create a provider account, by checking a required box that is not pre-checked:
I agree to the Provider Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, including the per-lead fees, call recording, and receiving lead calls and texts from CloseCall at the phone number above. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.
Drivers (people a provider business adds as its drivers) agree when they set up their own sign-in from the link the business gives them, by checking a required box that is not pre-checked. CloseCall doesn't text a driver before they've done this:
I agree to the Provider Terms and Privacy Policy, to share my phone's location with [business] and CloseCall while I'm marked available — never while I'm offline — and to receive job texts from CloseCall at this number. A customer sees my location only on a job I'm sent to, until I arrive. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.
Customers and providers enter their own phone numbers on their own CloseCall accounts. A business enters its driver's number, but the driver confirms it and agrees to texts before we send any. We don't buy, rent, or import phone lists.
2. What we send
Once a customer and provider have been connected on a call for 30 seconds, each receives one text with the other's details, so they can reach each other again if the call drops. If the business sends one of its drivers, the driver gets the job details and the customer gets a text when the driver is on the way. Later, the customer may get one follow-up asking whether the job was completed. Examples (business names and numbers are made up):
